Terms & Conditions

Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

By using this website and/or enrolling in a global seminar offered by Passport Perspectives Abraod, a division of Compass Journeys International LLC, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions below. These Terms & Conditions constitute a binding agreement between you and Passport Perspectives Abroad.

Program Eligibility & Participant Responsibilities

Global field seminars are open to all participants. However, minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or adult group leader who assumes responsibility for their conduct and supervision throughout the program.

All participants are expected to engage respectfully with hosts, fellow travelers, and local communities. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the program without refund. Passport Perspectives Abroad reserves the right to implement and enforce a Code of Conduct, which participants may be asked to sign.

Booking & Payment

To reserve a spot in a global field seminar, participants are required to make a refundable deposit. Full payment must be received by the deadline indicated in your registration materials. Accepted forms of payment include major credit cards and other methods listed at checkout.

Cancellations & Refunds

Please refer to our Refund Policy for full details. In general:

  • Deposits are fully refundable if the participant decides not to continue after the initial Zoom consultation.

  • Full refunds are available for cancellations made 60+ days before the seminar start date.

  • Within 60 days of departure, refunds may be pro-rated based on non-refundable costs already incurred.

Health, Vaccinations & Travel Insurance

All participants are required to carry valid international health insurance for the duration of the seminar. Proof of insurance may be requested prior to travel.

While not required, we strongly encourage participants to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and to carry trip-interruption and cancellation insurance in case of emergencies, illness, or changes in personal circumstances.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they meet all passport, visa, and health requirements for international travel.

Itinerary Flexibility & Force Majeure

While Passport Perspectives Abroad makes every effort to deliver the advertised seminar experience, itineraries are subject to change due to weather conditions, transportation delays, venue closures, or other unforeseen circumstances.

In the event of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, political unrest, global pandemics), we reserve the right to modify or cancel part or all of a program. In such cases, we will offer alternate arrangements or apply funds to a future seminar when possible.

Travel Operations in Europe

Upon arrival in Europe, seminar operations are managed by our affiliated company, Compass Voyages International, based in France. This company is co-owned by Anne-Marie and Rob, the founders of Passport Perspectives Abroad, and ensures a seamless participant experience. All services provided on the ground will be executed under this French entity in accordance with applicable European travel regulations.

Optional Film Screenings

From time to time, Passport Perspectives Abroad may offer informal film screenings for registered seminar participants. These are private gatherings held in non-commercial accommodations and limited to those enrolled in the seminar. All screenings use lawfully obtained DVDs or streaming platforms. In accordance with Article L122-5 of the French Intellectual Property Code, such showings are permitted when conducted in a private, non-public setting without additional charge or promotional purpose.

Limitation of Liability

Participants agree to release Passport Perspectives Abroad and Compass Voyages International from liability for personal injury, property loss, travel delays, or other unforeseen events occurring during participation in a seminar, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
