Refund Policy for Passport Perspectives Abroad
Refund of Deposits
Your initial deposit to reserve a spot on a global seminar is fully refundable at any time prior to our Zoom consultation or trip commitment. If you decide not to move forward with the trip — whether before or after the consultation — your deposit will be returned in full, no questions asked. (well, we might ask a few questions, just so we can perhaps improve our service and/or seminar offerings).
Refunds Prior to 60 Days Before Departure
Participants who cancel their participation 60 or more days prior to the start of the seminar are eligible for a full refund of any payments made, including deposits, partial payments, and full payments.
Refunds Within 60 Days of Departure
Within 60 days of the program start date, many travel-related purchases (e.g., train tickets, hotel reservations, cultural site tickets) will have been finalized. In these cases:
-
Refunds requested within 60 days of departure will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
-
Refund amounts may be pro-rated based on non-refundable expenses already incurred by Passport Perspectives Abroad on your behalf.
-
We will always strive to maximize your refund while honoring the commitments we’ve made to vendors and service providers.
Non-Refundable Expenses
In some instances, specific costs (such as prepaid attraction tickets or non-refundable group accommodations) may not be recoverable, even if cancellation occurs more than 60 days prior to departure. We will provide documentation of such costs if they affect your refund.
Refunds Due to Cancellations by Passport Perspectives Abroad
If Passport Perspectives Abroad cancels a program for any reason, all participants will receive a full refund of any payments made, including deposits. Alternatively, participants may choose to apply their balance toward a future seminar.
Processing Time
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10–14 business days of confirmation.
Travel Insurance Recommendation
We strongly recommend that participants purchase travel insurance that includes trip cancellation protection. This can help recover costs in the event of unexpected personal, medical, or weather-related emergencies.
Transfer Option
In some cases, participants may transfer their payment to a future seminar or substitute another traveler in their place, if approved by Passport Perspectives Abroad.
